The dogs and I again spent July hiking, backpacking, and camping in the spruce and fir forest and then climbing up through timberline. It is such a thrill to see how my two year old border collie loves it up there. That is how I raised her, out in the wild nearly every day of her life. Beau and Hayley stay close to me but Jess wanders far and wide. It is amazing to see how much energy Jessie Jellybean has. All of us have a good life high in what I consider my home ground.

I split the post this month into two parts, since there are a lot of photos and videos, and it takes a while to load.
