11 October ~2014

Last night for some reason I couldnt handle sleeping in the tent, maybe because I take the smallest tent possible to save weight. I ended up sleeping out under the moon and stars most of the night, which was a good test of my bag - I was cozy warm at 11000 ft. I think I might have to endure a few more pounds and take a larger tent (or else just keep sleeping out).

We were up before light to see the sunrise on Independence Pass, then came back in time to hike in the Collegiates. The pictures say it all. I will have some happy dogs sleeping at home while I go out for some needed social life, at the Rose.
