I had to break through some ice to get out to open water, but was determined to do some paddling. I am in the planning stage for maybe some long ocean trips this summer, and want to stay in shape for them.

Mollie and Hayley were excited that they would get to go, but it was too cold to be safe for them. They seem to be hooked on being on the water like I am. I have to watch Mollie because she will jump on the kayak before I am ready, and once nearly launched herself into a river.

It is so peaceful to be floating out on the water, no matter what the temperature. It adds a new dimension to the GreenBelt that I am so lucky to live near.
